Jimmy Kimmel ‘protects’ Ivanka Trump from ‘harassing’ comedian in resurfaced clip

Jimmy Kimmel might have redeemed himself with some of his critics after a video surfaced of him protecting Ivanka Trump from the forward passes Andy Dick made at her on live television.

The video, which emerged on Reddit, dates back to a 2007 segment of Jimmy Kimmel Live! In the clip, Jimmy can be seen physically ushering the Get Smart alum from his seat after he repeatedly touched the businesswoman multiple times. Throughout the snippet, Andy kept rubbing Ivanka’s leg, causing Jimmy to constantly intervene during the interview to get the comedian to stop hounding her.

Not even a minute later, Andy ignored Jimmy’s redirections, attempting to touch now First Daughter Ivanka again.

A fed-up Jimmy then got out of his chair and headed to Andy, signaling for security to meet him.

Jimmy and security then physically lifted Andy off the couch and pulled him off the set before he apologized to Ivanka, who awkwardly laughed off the situation.

Ivanka came out as a second guest on Jimmy’s show back then as she and Andy were both appearing as guests.

Jimmy told Extra at the time that when Andy greeted Ivanka, he immediately asked her for a “big, wet kiss.”

After that, Andy began trailing his hands up and down Ivanka’s thigh and knee, which she tried to stop him from doing politely as she could.

Redditors were appalled at Andy’s actions, but couldn’t help but rave over Jimmy for stepping up during a live show.

“This is a great story, but I think we’re missing the point that Kimmel here tried to protect Trump’s daughter, threw her sexual harasser off the show, apologized to her, and 20 years later, Trump had him fired,” one wrote on Reddit.

“How ironic that Trump hates Kimmel for going after him, yet he once kept Ivanka from getting harassed,” a second added.

“It’s almost like Kimmel is a decent person or something!” a third divulged. “Seriously, though, I hadn’t seen this. So many in his position would have yukked it up, made light of it, or awkwardly fumbled with it. Kimmel handled it decisively and matter-of-factly while still trying to entertain. Kudos.”

Someone else reacted: “And having him on a live show is just asking for trouble.”

A year after his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! along with Ivanka, Andy was arrested for allegedly fondling the breasts of a 17-year-old girl after he pulled her bra down and exposed her breasts, the Daily Mail reported.

Since Jimmy’s show was abruptly suspended last week, it was announced Monday that his program would be returning, for what he said about Charlie Kirk’s death, he’s been consistently in the news.

Jimmy saying, “the MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” during his monologue on last Monday’s episode, is what got him in trouble.
